What is a vCV?
MondayJobs Video CV (vCV) is a visual presentation of your profile, explaining what experience and education you have, what kind of position you are looking for and why you should be considered to work in a specific domain. We have a script that you can follow, just fill in the blanks. Or try your own thing - it's up to you!

How to record a vCV
The key to recording a good vCV is planning.
Your vCV needs to be well thought out prior to being recorded and with our helpful guide we will assist you in planning what to say.
This process shouldn't take more than a few minutes to complete and hopefully you'll get a lot out of it.
Step 1 - Preperation
Requirments - 1 webcam, well lit room, a smile.
Planning - Put yourself in an employers / recruiters position. What do you think they want to hear? If you are stuck for ideas, why not use the MondayJobs vCV script.
Structure - To get the most from your vCV it is essential to record a well structured and thought out vCV.
As a guide, why not follow this simple structure;
- Introduction
(your name)
- What you do/what that involves
(job titles & responsibilities)
- Skills used
(specific skills you have & are needed in the role)
- Achievements
(anything memorable worth mentioning)
- Aspirations of your next role
(what you want to do)
- End
(thank viewer of their time)
Practice - You can record and review your vCV as many times as you like. We want you to feel happy with the end result.
Be natural - Relax, take deep breaths and imagine you are talking to a friend, the end result will be much better.
Speak up - Don't shout! But make yourself heard, this is your chance to impress so let them hear what you have to say.
Lighting - No need to go and rent professional studio gear, but a well lit room will improve the quality of your vCV.
Dress code - Dress how you would in an interview, a tie and a freshly ironed shirt goes a long way.
Remember - Imagine you are talking to a friend, keep things simple. The person viewing your vCV may not have the same level of technical knowledge as you!
